CHURCH OF EPHESUS CROSS BODY 5 FOLD MINISTRY LEADER DOCTRINE

IN THE PRIOR FIRST 2 PARTS OF THIS 3 PART PROLOGUE, we examined the lives and senior ministry of the First 12 Organic Senior New Testament Apostles. In the next 2 parts of thePROLOGUE we will examine Apostle Paul and then compare him with the lives of the Original Jesus Hand Picked Twelve.
(To read about the original twelve apostles please read DOCTRINES FOR A NEW DAY #1-3 on this blog)
Eventually, God’s Holy Spirit brought one other pioneering leader onto the Jerusalem scene: the infamous former murderer and persecutor of the early Church, the now saved and renamed, Apostle Paul.
(And while Paul never ever used a capital letter when describing his own chief apostolic leader office, in any of his writings, the writer will do this to differentiate him and the other Original Twelve, from the chief apostles of today, and to honor each of them.)
The once notorious Levitical scholar Saul, who had persecuted many throughout the early Church had been now significantly transformed during a sudden supernatural surprise encounter with the Living Lord. The former Saul, had been ”born again” and called by God to preach the Good News to the Gentiles.
Yet, history shows us that while Jesus was on the earth, he called and mentored the First Twelve Organic Apostles. While Paul is equally as historically famous, he did not arrive on the Jerusalem scene until later, and after much difficulty in gaining the trust of the early Church chief apostles.
And while most modern leader 5 fold office pioneers understand that Apostle Paul wrote the majority of the New Testament, many do not yield to his many wise cautions against major hierarchy, legalism and his big word against “the respecter of persons religious spirit.”
In the next 1-2 parts of this Apostle Paul Prologue study, we shall point to Bible Scriptures which assist us in deeply understanding how what Paul taught the early church is very applicable, and extremely important, for the modern pioneering Church today.
And the writer yields to the reader to research this and then pick out what is hay but through out what is stubble.
COMPARE AND CONTRAST BETWEEN THE FIRST 12 JESUS HAND PICKED APOSTlES AND APOSTLE PAUL
If we study the family backgrounds, the formal education and later, during and shortly after, the ministry mentoring /face to face, even daily life of the first Original Pioneering Twelve, most of whom came from working class, working poor, not well formerly educated fishing,
Simon the Zealot: Age 28 when first met Jesus. Was a fiery agitator, who was a person who spoke much without thinking. Jesus put him in charge of the recreation for the 12. However, Simon could be too much of a Hebrew nationalist at times, and also at times overly money minded. Yet Simon was very very loyal, brave and seemed to be great at apologetics and difficul soul winning.
James (oldest) and John (youngest) Boanerge Sons of Zebedee: (Mark 3:17) fishermen brothers, may have come from a prosperous family, but both may have been raised to feel entitled, as the Boarnerge Leader Boys were described in the Bible, trying to self promote themselves. Evidently something about both their personas led Jesus to have a nickname for them, “The Sons of Thunder.”
This insight into both of their characters revealed what the writer now terms “immature Me Seeking Boarnerge insincere leadership”) And they each bore some fruit of perhaps being Mama’s Boy, as they allowed their mother to make the appeal to Jesus on their behalf. ( to sit at Jesus right hand in heaven.)
Judas Iscariot: Iscariot means “murderer” denoting family origins, He may have been related to terrorists. Nothing basically more than his betrayal of Christ, his death and burial are known.
Andrew was the younger brother of the apostle Peter. Andrew was first a disciple of John the Baptist, but later left John to follow Jesus. He displays emotional maturity , reliability, deep depth and courage. Andrew was active in bringing new people in to the New Testament Church.
Philip may have first been a disciple of John the Baptist, who left him to follow Jesus. He was responsible for persuading Bartholomew to follow the Lord. He radiated good, hones, dependable, very responsible, stable leader fruit. Philip assisted at the miracle of the feeding of the 5000 and was the leader the Greeks spoke to in order to get in to speak with Jesus.
Bartholomew has not been written about deeply, but it is well known that he died a martyr’s death, being decapitated, skinned alive in Armenia. Such was his willingness to lay down his life for undoubtedly his First Love: Jesus Christ. Was one of the disciples to whom Jesus appeared at the lake of Tiberias after the resurrection. Was a witness to the Ascension.
Matthew lived in Palestine and was a tax collector of the Hebrew people. Tax collectors were regarded as outcasts and despised. However, when he accepted Jesus Christ, he was transformed and later, while there is some dispute, Matthew was attested to by the early church fathers as the author of the Gospel of Matthew and was one of the 4 evangelists.
Thomas (Didymus) birth or death are not recorded, yet he goes down in Bible reputation for being both the best and the worst in Christ following. In one scripture Thomas urges the apostles to go to Jerusalem along with Jesus, at the time of Lazurus’ death, even though he realizes that due to the climate of big opposition against Jesus, that they could even die. (John 11:16). Yet Thomas is the “doubting Thomas” in John 20:25 who won’t accept the testimony that Jesus Christ has risen from the Grave.
Simon (better known as Peter):a fisherman, brother of Andrew. Very impulsive, cut off the soldiers ear in the Garden of Gethsemene, later he was marvelously settled and transformed as a top pillar in the early Church.
Jude (Jude Thaddeus) has very little written about him. He paid the ultimate Christ following the Savior and died a martyr in Lebanon.
John: author of the book of John and Revelation vision, while on the isle of Patmos. Repeated attempts on his life, but the Lord prevailed every time.
(13th) Matthias: picked by the remaining 11 disciples after Judas betrayal and departure by death)
THE NEWBIE: APOSTLE PAUL
While the first Twelve Organic Apostles were hand selected by Jesus Christ, each in personal ministry “divine appointments,” they had the incredible hands on/supernatural experience of being mentored by, role modeled by, imparted tom by the perfect Savior, Jesus Christ.
And throughout the assembled pioneering Leader Tribe of Twelve, various natural and Holy Spirit DNA’s, inborn traits, many big gifts, true talent as well as key historical family, cultural and religious handed down backgrounds.
Add to this the supreme fact that suddenly, out of Time and Space, Father God picked that exact period of Time to send down His Only Begotten Son, but even in doing so, NO BODY had an inkling, even the future chief apostles, of all that entailed.
WHO could have imagined that God would choose to send a life changing Messiah in the earth suit of a tiny baby dressed in swaddling clothes? And into a warrior vulture culture of tremendous varying influences: in the midst of Phariseeical Hebrew Law, open regional idol worship, iron clad Roman governmental rule, slavery, the various customs practiced by Greeks, area pagans, and roving demoniacs.
All of these, with each one’s passed down oral traditions, religious legalism, and normal/abnormal human traditions, each formed the environment in which God chose to send His Only Son to form and birth a Colony of the Organic Christ Following Global Community.
And the Creator God was not the least bit intimidated about sending his infant baby Son into what was a warrior, master-slave, Middle Eastern, east west trade root, pagan, secular all wise, all knowing Me Centered, Back Stabbing, Accuser Culture.
And while the First Twelve (with Matthias replacing Judas), having been used even spectacularly by God, did spear head God’s New Family on the Middle Eastern earth, the Lord later sent the highly educated, former Church persecutor two different times to them, but over a period of 17 totaled years.
The writer will now submit to each reader the perspective, that Apostle Paul was sent by the Lord to fill in the gaps in chief apostolic regional revelation, to complete, not to compete but to also use the wise example of his own emotional maturity, deep truly meekness without apostolic emotional/moral weakness and as it were “fill in some leadership big gaps” left out in the Hebrews 6, Acts 2 “chief apostles doctrine.”
The leader senior ministry peer hierarchy will be examined in light of today’s ministry Bible teachings, hen we must note several things along the “true spiritual leader authority, pecking order ministry line.
In conclusion, we we then will in our next days’ BLOG go through Bible scriptures which will set the stage for what this writer names as Cross Body True Unity.
To stir up modern leader discussion:
