MY DEFINITIONS:
FOR THE TCL, DFW LEADER MINISTRY FELLOWSHIP, IFFM, ATU
- The fruit of the “Sweet Baby Jesus” is to “Turn the other cheek, walk the extra mile, be at peace, be a peacemaker, always forgive, never be ornery or biased” (and more).
- The fruit of a Maker-grown up person, a God-led Minister, Jesus, is to spend time alone with His Father, and maybe seek counsel from an impartial party. If and when Christ would rise up, stand up, and take a stand for deep injustice (more later, P.S. I will try to post some articles about doing that, but for now…).
“WHAT IS THE MEANING OF REPROVE”
ALSO: Was the Did Jesus Christ remain “the Sweet Infant, easy to handle, ” after He matured?
“Faithful are the wounds of a friend, but the kisses of an enemy are deceitful.” This is a proverb from Proverbs 27:6.
In 2 Timothy 3:16-17, the term “reprove” is defined as a helpful tool for instruction. The Bible teaches that all scripture is inspired by God and is profitable for teaching, correcting, and training in righteousness, so that believers may be equipped for every good work.
This is an edited 2012 article which I have added to just now, due to the times in which we find ministry self. (c) 2012/2023 Apostle Taveau D’Arcy, cDFW Leader Ministry Fellowship. All copyrights reserved under international copyright laws.
Wise note: All of this is based on the Christian person, a leader, “not being” under the old-timey religious law and not a bit PC, greasy grace, endorsing, or condoning, nor “unsubmitted” to Bible authority. Also, the person is “directly led by the Holy Spirit.”
I pen the following, which is under the category of the Mature Adult Christ (for easy reference):
“Faithful are the wounds of a friend, but the kisses of an enemy are deceitful.” – Proverbs 27:6.
In 2 Timothy 3:16-17, the term “reprove” is defined as a helpful tool for instruction. The Bible teaches that all Scripture is inspired by God and is profitable for teaching, correcting, and training in righteousness, so that believers may be equipped for every good work.
JESUS GREW UP
How Jesus grew up: Jesus Christ slowly and sagely grew up and matured in wisdom and stature and in favor with God and man. And one day, He found Himself as an adult, for He had noticed many hurting persons, such as lepers and the area enslaved. The youthful called “sent” office Messiah had noted the immense social injustice and the inequity and bias, as well as the “mammon-centricity” in His own Father’s Big Temple, which by that epic day had morphed under the Torah Law into a religious keeping, getting harder, always keeping close tabs: a Pharisee Religious System. This was devoid of God and filled with a majority of hirelings (note backward to warning word in Obadiah about the influx of Edomites) with just a small handful of Godly remnant (such as John the Baptist’s priestly father, Zechariah).
As we notice that Jesus Christ “grew up,” we take that also to mean that He did not remain as the sweet infant in the manger, as we suppose. For soon, He developed and grew up, and upon His arrival into the local ministry scene as the top leader founder of the Church, which was looked down upon as dung and suspected as a plot to overthrow the temple offices and also seeming King Herod.
Note: The Gospels show that when Jesus was alive, walking the earth and performing many miracles, teaching and disciplining, He also openly rebuked.
When we read through the Gospels (Matthew, Mark, Luke, and John), we understand that Jesus Christ was sent to pay the price for each of our sins so we can live victoriously and experience Him and have the strength to get along in a harmonious and calm diverse cross-cultural community (read Paul’s Ephesians 4).
We can also note, by reading the Gospels of Matthew, Mark, Luke, and John, how Christ the Lord interacted and related with people, showing deference and full respect to the following: old, young, even babies; His mother Mary; His half brothers and sisters; His disciples; the everyday person of all races, levels of social economic status, education, all faiths, believers and non-believers, and even roving demoniacs. But He showed respect to each and every one.
KEEP THE VISION: SEEING ALL PERSONS THROUGH THE EYES OF JESUS CHRIST’ MINISTRY OFFICE “REAL RESPECT” AND “VALUE ” FOR EVERY HUMAN PERSON (made in His Father’s Image, and for WHOM He was “sent ” earth to pay the high price and to suffer, then raise up from the DEAD IN CELEBRATION VICTORY ” “He overcame the spirit of death and the devil” (if we train the persons about this!)
Also, our minister Jesus, as the top office apostle, prophet, pastor, witnessing evangelist, and teacher, is similarly related to each human on Earth with utmost kindness and a show of at least nominal “real respect.”
If we read Jesus Christ through the eyes of his relationships (in ministry, personal family, and life), then we can pick out the law today in Christian ministry and also learn how to relate in a non-biased, humble, pure social, ministry, and life fruit.
DUE TO MINISTRY DYSFUNCTION 2 TIMOTHY 3:1-6 “Last Days Big Command”
For the ministry dysfunctional, we need to take note that Jesus never targeted, called out, made fun of, finger-pointed, mean-accused, lectured, reviled, demeaned, “forced,” applied pressure, or was “anti” any human faith or style of belief sets.
Yet, if one examines Christ and the first church, including Paul, who wrote 2/3 of the New Testament, we can see that the only patriarchal people group that Jesus openly rebuked (at least 3 known times) was Matthew 21:12-13, Matthew’s entire chapter 23, and Matthew 7:21-23.(see each below)
I CLASSIFY THE FOLLOWING AS “THE INFANT JESUS,NOW A MATURE ADULT AND MIGHT BE ACCUSED TODAY OF “NOT BEING LIKE HIS USUAL “SWEET INFANT SELF”
Here are the red letter verses in MATTHEW 23, according to the King James Version:
MY NAME FOR THIS….JESUS GREW ENLIGHTENED, AT LAST WAS “FED UP” MINISTER (SPIRIT LED) CHRIST”(but ONLY addressing all of this TO THE HIS FATHERS HOUSE “TEMPLE SYTEM OFFICE MINISTRY” (yet on behalf of His Creator Father, and ONLY AFTER Holy Spirit directing Him specifically in the Garden, based on prayer) (no violence, shouting over, mean spirit, bullying or reviling or humiliating demeaning)
JESUS RED LETTER VERSES OUT OF MATTHEW 23
- “And whosoever shall exalt himself shall be abased; and he that shall humble himself shall be exalted.” – Matthew 23:12
- “Woe unto you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! for ye pay tithe of mint and anise and cummin, and have omitted the weightier matters of the law, judgment, mercy, and faith: these ought ye to have done, and not to leave the other undone.” – Matthew 23:23
- “Woe unto you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! for ye make clean the outside of the cup and of the platter, but within they are full of extortion and excess.” – Matthew 23:25
- “Woe unto you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! for ye are like unto whited sepulchres, which indeed appear beautiful outward, but are within full of dead men’s bones, and of all uncleanness.” – Matthew 23:27
- “Woe unto you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! because ye build the tombs of the prophets, and garnish the sepulchres of the righteous,” – Matthew 23:29
- “And say, If we had been in the days of our fathers, we would not have been partakers with them in the blood of the prophets.” – Matthew 23:30
- “Wherefore ye be witnesses unto yourselves, that ye are the children of them which killed the prophets.” – Matthew 23:31
- “Ye serpents, ye generation of vipers, how can ye escape the damnation of hell?” – Matthew 23:33
NEXT: MATTHEW 21:12-13 JESUS ENTERS THE PHARISEE TEMPLE
“And Jesus went into the temple of God, and cast out all them that sold and bought in the temple, and overthrew the tables of the moneychangers, and the seats of them that sold doves, And said unto them, It is written, My house shall be called the house of prayer; but ye have made it a den of thieves.”
I saved this for Last as it is DIRE for RIGHT NOW..in Christian toxic debating ministry
MATTHEW 7:21-23JESUS GIVES A SOBER LEADER WARNING
“Not every one that saith unto me, Lord, Lord, shall enter into the kingdom of heaven; but he that doeth the will of my Father which is in heaven. Many will say to me in that day, Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in thy name? and in thy name have cast out devils? and in thy name done many wonderful works? And then will I profess unto them, I never knew you: depart from me, ye that work iniquity.”
THE CLEAR DIFFERENCE IN THE SAVIOR’S OFFICE DEMEANOR
THUS WE TAKE NOTICE, that while love the Sweet Infant Calm Baby, there are DAYS when God needs to wake human people up. to shake them to “shock and awe them “but in a prophetic ACT (again no violent or demeaning, attacks, RELIGIOUS RIGHT type of Bible beat downs)
AND “WHY” MATURE JESUS ROSE UP AND STOOD UP::
And as Jesus Christ matured and de AND DEVELOPED INTO AN ADULT. He also “slowly, softly “awakened” like many in their teen, young adult years. And the Messiah Christ was “other centric” and deeply realized His CALL.
Along the Narrow Way in His life, Christ noticed many hurting persons, such lepers, the area enslaved. Christ noted the immense social injustice and the inequity and bias as as the “mammon centricity” in His Own Father’s Big Temple, which by that epic day had morphed Under the Torah Law into a religious keeping, getting harder, always keeping close tabs: a Pharisee Religious System., which was devoid of God and filled with a majority of hirelings (note back ward to warning word in Obadiah about the influx of Edomites)… with just small handful of Godly remnant (such as John the Baptists priestly father, Zechariah.)
REPEAT We note how Jesus Christ “grew up” this means that He did not remain as “the Sweet Infant in the Manger.” as we suppose. For soon, He developed and grew up and upon His arrival into the Local Ministry Seen, as the top leader founder of the Church..(which looked down upon as dung and suspected as plot to over though the temple offices, and also seeming King Herod)
WE NEED TO READ THE GOSPELS
Google online, get out your app, the old fashioned method THE REAL BOOK and read through
Matthew, Mark, Luke John …with “new vision “
As we read through the Gospels, (means GOOD NEWS!) we see Jesus, the Messiah, walking the earth in areas such as Jerusalem, Galilee, and others, which were a cultural mixture of Arabs, Hebrews, Romans, and various cults, including open idolatry. While we understand that Jesus Christ was sent to the whole world to pay the price for each of our sins so we can live victoriously and experience Him and have the strength to get along in a harmonious and diverse cross-cultural community (as stated in Paul’s Ephesians 4), we also note, by reading the Gospels (Matthew, Mark, Luke, John), that when Jesus related with humans on the earth in ministry, personal family, and life, He never targeted, lectured, reviled, demeaned, forced, applied pressure, or was anti any human faith or style of belief sets.
However, if one examines Christ and the first Church, including Paul, who wrote 2/3 of the New Testament, we can see that the only patriarchal people group that Jesus openly rebuked (at least three known times) was the one in Matthew 21:12-13, Matthew entire chapter 23, and Matthew 7:21-23.(All of this are penned out above)
This means that unless the Christians who say that they are born again and office leadership and who have a call really act like both sweet babies and mature, firm, non-religious, take social stands first to themselves and then to their followers, then there is no hope for the weary world. Please read Ephesians 4, which describes the transformed community that affects society but does not attack, dominate, revile, or show bias against others, causing harm.
Now we can see Miriam Webster dictionary’s definition of “reprove”…it means ” to scold” or “correct ” …with kindly intent. Synonyms for reprove include admonish, chide, reprimand, reproach, and rebuke.
