Today, I honor my close ministry gentleman abiding good friend and former IFFM Ministry Board member, DR JOHN E JONES, pioneering founder of the former KEISHA MINISTRIES, THE CROWN VISION, born in Richmond, VA.

Apostolic in ministry, Dr John silently slipped off of the earth during the catastrophic silent DFW pioneering newbie years. We did stay in regular touch by phone, and he did fly out hear to Texas once, to attend an area board meeting, but after that he completely disappeared and to the best of my gained knowledge (from another past area businessman advisor, it appears that Dr John’s transplanted kidney failed.

I am pleased to share the amazing testimony of a true gentleman, who “just happened” to be born wearing an African American earth suit. His ebony skin was a dark as mine is solid white..but when we addressed one another, it was as Christ follower leaders, who saw each other with in the “perceiver-discerned (I name) inner court REAL LIVING REALM where Apostle Paul aptly taught, “When you on Christ, there is NO Greek or Jew, male or female, (black or white) bond or free….

We always related in ministry easily, restfully and if we didn’t see each other for a while, we would simply pick back up from where we left off the last time.

This was a God blessed, spiritual big brother, younger sister internal spiritual DNA primarily based friendship..rather than one based on either’s race, gender or ministry /economic status. In fact, it was truly affirming, realistic thought provoking and comforting..as I had lost my natural senior pastor father, many years prior.

And, in this God given “divine relationship” it was all Holy Spirit and not one ounce of flesh. Because both parties each had “no form of guile.”

And here is the reason, we chose to see one another through God’s eyes of abiding faith and His genuine fraternal love.

From the very moment that I met Brother and accomplished Doctor John E Jones (several earned Doctorates), something deep in my spirit knew that he was extra special. We originally sat beside one another in an area wide pastors, ministry leaders cross true Body prayer for revival, racial reconciliation and denominational/ urban-suburban /healing.

I first took note of his genuine humility, his big insightful intelligence and his quick perceptive ever merry wit. Always dressed up finely in his business best, dear Brother Jones always embodied the Virginia gentleman..and when I got to truly know him, I was exceedingly thrilled and blessed to realize that he was very very sharp in discerning and accurate perception and that he did not need to prove himself in senior ministry, neither did he ever have a need to wield a giant ego.

NOTE: He appeared to have dropped off the face of the earth and all of his ministry websites and photos are down. I surely would have loved for you to see Brother John’s face.

As a board member, I understood that I could call John up and he would not mince words, but would be direct and I enjoyed his caring, compassionate straightforwardness. I used to admire how John could tell me straight forward things but had such a fine tuned leader compassionate communication /business style that he never once hurt me as one how had been given IFFM overseer (respecting) authority.

Had pioneering leader, Dr. John E Jones been alive today, I would love to have him share his amazing, unique, extremely surprising life testimony. However, as he is now full of heavenly joy and at rest up with the Living Lord in heaven, I will do my best to relay what I would call the “High Spots”…

Just before his (apparent) sudden death, Dr. John blessed me with a copy of his book. It shared much of the following surely amazing big in depth (miracle) details.

Dr John E Jones was every inch a stand up (authentic and gracious) real man, patient father and skilled ordained (once unsaved) pastor.

He also was a youth leader mentor and it is due to Dr John’s very many widespread life leader experiences and this his spiritual testimony, including a physical major true miracle, that I will do better by outlining each from this point on.

PS When I list, describe all the AMAZING details about the loving, highly intelligent gentleman, my Brother Dr John E Jones, I long all the more for HIM to be here to assure you, the reader, that it all is really TRUE!!

So here it goes:

BEFORE accepting Christ into his heart, Dr. John was a former black panther Iman.

He later worked on President Jimmy Carter’s presidential campaign and built/operated 2 large food co-ops and trucking in the state of Georgia. He made a phone call from one part of the USA (I believe it was in the northwest?) to get gold to cover peanuts from the state of Georgia, to sell, to uses as tokens throughout President Carters campaign.

Then God started to get Dr. Jones full attention through a series of extreme life and death dramatic situations.

Dr Jones’ big co-ops had loads of tainted meat which started other big issues which made John have to close them down.

Soon he felt a a ‘call to preach”, for he believed he could find status and a good paying job, yet my brother Dr John, was not even truly born again. Yet, Dr. John took on the senior pastorate of a Baptist Church.

I used to sit with rapt attention as John shared with me about his days as what he referred to himself as having formerly been: “the unsaved preacher who was on his way to hell” Dr John would describe how “he was preaching sermons to his ministry congregation every Sunday, but was slipping around,carousing each Sunday night.”

Brother Jones shared that he preached many sermons about miracles, healings through many years..but did not actually believe in what he preached. He was simply putting on a big show.

Yet, the Lord was not to be moved by this, as surely leader Dr John had a big call on his life..from the LIVING LORD, the one who made heaven and earth.

Dr. John then told me that one night, he and his wife and five month old baby were driving from the state of VA to visit family in Georgia.

Dr John had driven for a long time so he let his wife take over. Dr. John then took the 5 month old baby girl in his lap to hold.

However, the tiny baby scratched the cornea on one of his eyes and it triggered a brain aneurysm which then left Brother John, completely paralyzed from head to toe. He was nearly a human vegetable.

And on top of that, all of his wealth of educational knowledge, including the four earned degrees all left him. He could not even add a stack of simple numbers.

So he was put into the hospital and existed there, a complete paralytic for 4-5 months.

Then his wife divorced him. And soon, all of this friends stopped dropping in to visit. And Brother Jones was left completely bed ridden and alone…completely nurse, doctor dependent.

But GOD was also on the scene and blessed Pastor John with an actual true miracle.

Here it is:

Dr Jones had been lying there, all alone in his hospital bed, for around 4-5 solid paralyzed, dreary months.

All of the floor medical staff knew him and had witnessed hopeless, vegetable condition.

However, one day, as Dr Jones lay in his hospital bed, he had a dream about the healing of the paralytic ( Mark 2:1-12 “take up thy bed and walk”)

Recalling that when ever Dr John had pastored, he had many times preached on that Bible passage, but never actually believed it.

Something major started to happen. Father God’s Holy Spirit placed that passage in John’s mind. He began to see himself like the paralytic and he became immediately and amazingly born again.

Following this, something very supernatural and amazing started to unfold. Brother John could now invision HIMSELF rising up and starting to WALK similar to the paralyzed man in the Bible story.

Dr John was very deep and perceptive in his spirit and knew it was GOD’S glorious Holy Ghost Power coming upon him.

As a senior minister, John knew that God’s supernatural power was available for others perhaps, but had not, up until this point,
put his faith in that an actual God miracle would happen to HIM..and TODAY!

So with God’s granted free grace…and supernatural Holy Spirit power, plus gritty determination to press through against all human reasoning and the many fearful thoughts…Brother Jones finally managed to sit up on the edge of his hospital bed.

All the while God kept showing him a vision of himself being enabled to “rise and be completely healed”

BUT is certainly did not appear logical or something that he could have made happen through all his many educational diplomas or by being casual and poor old me complacent.

And there was no nurse on hand. Dr John had to wriggle to the edge of his bed entirely by himself, while focusing on doing what he could seen himself doing in the vision in his mind: that of RISING UP and BEING wholly HEALED.

As Dr John managed to work himself to get off his bed, he fell to the floor in a big lump. Yet, the unique supernatural Holy Spirit residing in Dr John added to his own fiercely determined leader personality, combined to help him forget the hopeless appearance of his hopeless crippled body…and so he focused entirely ONLY upon doing what God showed him walking and doing in the inner miracle vision.

For a few minutes, John’s nearly lifeless body barely budged, It refused to move. So like a wiggle worm, Dr /brother Jones, inched his way toward a nearby wall to try to push himself up in order to stand.

And by God’s power, he made it and started to maneuver his legs until he was standing up against the wall. However, as soon as he got upright, the power of Holy Spirit hit him and he felt miracle power go through his entire weakened limbs and body.

He shot up right and sounds of praise, joy and thanksgiving began to fill his soul. He began walking all around, even out into the hospital hallway to the nurse’s station, where they then saw him and immediately recognized him for being the human vegetable during the last 4-5 months.

And when the nurses, other medical staff witnessed John walking, moving and giving praise to God, many of them through up their hands and screamed with shock and surprise!

And so the loving Dr John was healed..but at first in body only. It still took him several more months to get back his memory and all of his educational degrees..

Yet, God did a complete work..so that by the I began to get acquainted with Brother Jones, one would never have guessed that he had come from such an amazing, even extreme, spiritual back ground.

Following Dr Jones complete recovery, he formed token economics business governing mentoring for many youth, schools, flew oversees to make deals for these token based mentoring programs.

He was definitely involved with cross true Body,sr pastor, ministry leader racial reconciliation, leader repentance for revival and many divine appointment networking, Washington For Jesus, ..all done for the cause of building bridges of Christian true unity …and that is where I first met and began to know Dr Jones.

In summary, following all of the above, my ministry close friend and IFFM board member, had to go on kidney dialysis. And he badly needed a kidney transplant. This he got, before I left to relocate to DFW (January 2005)..

He suffered much but preserved, yet due to all of his many boards /ministry travels and various meetings, many programs. I was not at peace, knowing how fragile his health had been.

And Dr Jones and I would speak on occasion, but not often. And after he flew out here for a area board meeting, then he returned but soon lost touch..as I could not get his phone or email to reply.

Later I tried to track him down via Google and mutual friends, who said, they too wondered where he had gone to. Finally a former businessman advisor said that it was said that Dr John’s transplanted kidney exploded.

And what I felt the most honored in any of Dr John’s comments directed to me as his ministry /business colleague, was that it was simply that he regarded me NOT as Western European American /white OR as a FEMALE…but as a HUMAN BEING who was a caring life long platonic friend.

One of his very surprising comments was a giant honor to have it directed to me. One day out of the leadership blue, Dr. John Jones called out to me “Got your back, black”

I at once felt definitely awed and humbled.

Thus on this Dr Martin Luther King Day I want to honor a departed man who hero role modeled both Acts 10:38 “Jesus went about doing good” and also Acts 10:34 “Then Peter opened his mouth, and said, Of a truth I perceive that God is no respecter of persons:”

Dr John Jones was never a famous, well known face, but he modeled accepting agape James 3:17 real love and REAL RESPECT (he never once practiced “bigotry” “respecter of persons”

I draw to a close to HONOR Reverend, Pastor, apostolic pioneering minister, Dr. JOHN E JONES, formerly of KEISHA MINISRIES, THE CROWN VISION.

Way back in 1998 Dr Jones commissioned me to compose a song for the CROWN VISION and the following is the to what turned out to be an anthem, which in hindsight, which the life of the dear departed Brother John, truly embodied.
