THE PROPHETIC CAVE

“And he (the prophet Elijah) came thither unto a cave, and lodged there; and, behold, the word of the Lord came to him, and he said unto him, What doest thou here, Elijah?”  I Kings 19:9

Elijah the prophet fled from contending with the false prophets, the intense demonic occultish/spiritual warfare and interaction with manipulative, dominating real life persons, and even out ran the host of pursuing governmental chariots, to collapse, depleted inside of a CAVE, which was provided by the Lord.

There the emotionally, spiritually, and probably even physically, DEPLETED prophet resided “lodged there” until the time came when he was able to once again discern and perceive the “still small voice” of the inward witness of the Spirit of the Almighty God.

And because every pioneering leader needs to depart and abide in their own apostolic leader PROPHETIC CAVE, Dr. Taveau D’Arcy addresses this real abiding leader need and also at times writes from the place of forced prophetic cave dwelling, due to the fact of so very many forceful, controlling, dominating pioneering real persons, accuser legalism, self  justifying human tradition/ spiritual doctrines and the need to simply carve out face to face time apart with the Lord (for a First Love Lampstand Life Pioneering Life Style).
Duly note that depending upon what situation is confronting the leader, while we use the term “abiding in the PROPHETIC CAVE” the use of this term is very similar to each of the following: rising King David’s cave of Adullum;  the Psalm 91 Secret Place of the Most High: the Garden of Gethsemene, where Jesus Christ dwelled in solitude with His Father.
